Connect your coding agent to KugelAudio
Add the KugelAudio MCP server to Claude Code or claude.ai, approve it on the KugelAudio sign-in page, and let your coding agent build, deploy and debug your hosted agent.
On this page
A coding agent such as Claude Code builds your hosted agent with you. Connected to KugelAudio through the MCP server, it creates the agent, deploys it, and reads its build logs and calls, acting as you in one project.
Pick a client that can deploy
Editing and deploying agent code needs a coding agent with a shell: Claude Code, or a
similar tool, working in a folder on your machine that holds the agent's project. It
edits the files, checks them with npx curb check, talks to the agent in the terminal
with npx curb say and npx curb test, and deploys through the MCP server or with
curb deploy.
claude.ai can inspect calls and settings through the connector, but it cannot deploy code today: it has no folder with your project to edit and upload.
Claude Code
Run this in the folder where you work on your agent:
claude mcp add --transport http kugelaudio https://www.kugelaudio.com/mcpClaude Code adds the server for the folder you run the command in. To have it in every folder, add it for your user instead:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http kugelaudio https://www.kugelaudio.com/mcpStart Claude Code in that folder, run /mcp, choose kugelaudio and authenticate. Your browser opens the KugelAudio sign-in page.
claude.ai
KugelAudio is not in the Connectors Directory, so you add it as a custom connector:
- In claude.ai, open Customize > Connectors.
- Choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it
KugelAudio, enterhttps://www.kugelaudio.com/mcpas its URL and add it. - Connect it. Your browser opens the KugelAudio sign-in page.
On a Team plan, only an Owner can add a custom connector. Ask an Owner to add it, then connect it yourself.
Other clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth connects the same way: add
https://www.kugelaudio.com/mcp as a remote server. The
MCP server page has the configuration for Cursor.
What the sign-in page asks
When your client connects, your browser opens a KugelAudio page that asks you to allow it:
- Sign in, if you are not signed in yet.
- Choose the project the client works in. The page offers the projects in which you can manage API keys, because connecting creates one.
- Read what the client may do in that project: generate speech and list voices and
models, billed to the project's organization; create, deploy, configure and test
hosted agents and their web widgets as you, if the organization has hosted agents.
An API key named
MCP: <client name>is created for it. - If your account has an authenticator app and the page lists hosted agents, enter a current code from the app.
- Press Allow. The page names the site it sends you back to; allow only a client you just added yourself.
If your organization has speech to text, the page also lists transcribing audio.
When you cannot manage API keys in any project, the page says so: ask an owner or admin of your organization. To disconnect a client later, delete its key, as Billing and access describes.
No agent tools?
Your coding agent has the speech tools, but none of the
hosted agent tools such as list_agents and
deploy_agent:
- Your organization is not switched on for hosted agents yet. Ask us at hello@kugelaudio.com, then reconnect.
- The client was connected before it could get them. Reconnect; the server tells your client the same.
To reconnect:
| Client | Steps |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Run /mcp, choose kugelaudio, then Clear authentication. Authenticate again from the same menu and press Allow. |
| claude.ai | Open Customize > Connectors, disconnect KugelAudio and connect it again, then press Allow. |
| Other clients | Sign the server out in the client's MCP settings, connect again and press Allow. |
